- The Hobby family started their successful breeding enterprise in 1970 at Hillwood Stud. Following the sale of Hillwood in 2000, Jeffrey and Phoebe acquired 120 acres of wonderful chalk downland in Brightwalton, which had been used for hay and sheep for 20 previous years, which they have developed into a first class stud, situated in some of best countryside that Berkshire has to offer.
